I took this shot of Fairy Flax just for practice. It's a very difficult species to focus on.

Square-Stalked St. John's Wort has petals that unfurl longditudinally, making them appear very narrow at first.

 

The second of the two Woundworts on the patch - Marsh Woundwort - Stachys palustris.

 

I managed a shot of this Episyrphus balteatus coming in to land on Marsh Thistle.

 

False Salmonberry was introduced into Northern Ireland as cover for game birds. It has now spread to Co. Donegal where it is increasing dramatically. I've found it in half a dozen places this year. It is seriously invasive.

I think this is a Sedge Warbler that was shrieking whilst hiding in a Willow.
