Original Hedgerow, leg 2.

Heavy rain.

A Waxcap that was avoiding identification. I'd have gone for Hygrocybe virginea or one of its variants, but the stipe is very dark, and the overall colouring is cream, rather than pure white. Cap about 25mm across. Turns out it's Hygrocybe pratensis var pallida.

But I'm happy that this is proper Hygrocybe virginea (the fungus formerly known as H. nivea).

I was surprised to find a batch of Pholiota squarrosa at the base of an Ash tree. An impressive species that I've never seen anywhere near here. Cap about 6 cm. across.

And a brown Capsid on Bramble.
