30th September

Original Hedgerow, leg 1.

Identification correction. The 'Cystoderma amianthinum' from September 13th is actually Pholiota flammans - a much rarer species. The mature fungi are very spectacular, and I'll show them soon.

Heavy showers.

The back of the ditch is always covered with the Liverwort Lunularia cruciata. Today two fungi were pushing through: A Hemimycena (white, with cap about 8mm) and Clavulinopsis helvolla

And this is a shot of the Hemimycena underside.

A fine little bell-shaped Mycena.

The Nematus pavidus larvae are fewer in number now. They're spread over more leaves, but the total number is down by probably 75%. No sign of ichneumonids any more.

And this is the current state of development - about 3 cm. long. I think they're almost fully-grown, now, so they should be wandering off to pupate soon.
