Fungi and lichens from Mongorrey, our highest local point.

 

Storms later.

Clitocybe fragrans smells strongly of aniseed. Cap about 2.5 cm across.

   

 

Dacrymyces stillatus (orange) is very common on old logs. The dark spots are another lichen, Micarea sp.

I usually say Lecidea lithophila when the rust-coloured stain (top right) is present. The smaller specimen on the right-hand image is another species ?Porpidea/?Lecidea - the background colour is green rather than cream.

    

A few Sulphur Tufts were growing on the old logs.
