Original Hedgerow, leg 1.

Damp and dull.

The Coltsfoot flower-heads have started to bend. They'll be like this until the seeds are ripe and then the heads will assume a more upright position for seed dispersal.

Another great quiz picture. This is the early shoot of Greater Willowherb. It won't flower until July.

Most Bramble briars are showing some new growth.

A common Liverwort - Lunularia cruciata.

A new moss from the hedgerow: Fissidens cristatus. The leaves have an interesting double lower half to one side of the leaf. Notice that only one half of each leaf is wrinkled.

Three shots showing: leaf at x40, edge at x100 and tip at x400.
