Original Hedgerow, leg 1.

 

Wet, with a late dryish spell.

 

The Bramble leaves have just opened and already there are purple dots of the Phragmidium violaceum fungal rust.

 

A local Daffodil, about 5 weeks after the ones at sea-level.

 

Another plant that's being consumed before it has flowered. The buds of Greater Stitchwort are obviously very attractive to slugs.

As the light began to fail I found a few specimens of Barren Strawberry in flower.
