23rd April

Original Hedgerow, leg 2.

Dull with showers.

Eaten leaves always get my attention, so I examined these Meadowsweet leaves a bit closer.

Almost every plant had these Chrysomelids. Research found that there is the Meadowsweet specific: Galerucella tenella.

As expected, the Orange Tip eggs have now turned orange.

Scaly Male Ferns are now unrolling.

I previously found the fungal rust Uromyces dactylidis on Ranunculus ficaria. Now I have it on Ranunculus repens. Guess which family of plants it attacks.
