2nd January

Two places visited, today: The original Hedgerow and the forestry.

I took samples of the transparent 'wobbly jelly' and the Neobulgaria (now known as Beech Jelly).

The whole day was damp and overcast.

This leaf from the Yellow Archangel convinces me that it's the escape, rather than a native.

I've had difficulty getting this white fungus to photograph properly. It's so white that it fools the exposure. About 3cm long. Looks to be Meruliopsis corium.
