High Heath.

Dull with showers.

A couple of Micromoths. On the left is Ancylis badiana, which first appeared about 6 weeks ago. The moth shows characteristic ageing with loss of scales leading to an overall pale appearance. On the right is Epinotia tedella, a Norway Spruce associate, and new to Donegal.

This ant was wandering over the Willow leaves. I'm not sure what it was looking for.

Common Spotted Orchids are now in flower, and are perhaps less numerous than previous years.

I still haven't got an id for these micromoths that roll up Willow leaves.

A green Mirid bug - Closterotomus norwegicus, also on Willow.

The Puss Moth larva has changed skin and is now yellow and brown.

An experiment in focus. These tiny black flies were swarming under Pine branches.
