High de-forested area, today. Sun, rain, hail, mist.

 

 

This is the Lousewort - a semi-parasitic plant that lives in boggy areas. Notice that the calyx is completely smooth and shiny. That makes it the subspecies sylvatica.

 

This is how the Harestail Cotton-grass looks when it's wet. I think I might see a lot of it in this condition.

 

 

 

 

And this is the Common Sedge, Carex nigra.
