En-route to the quarry, but abandoned due to heavy downpour.

Bright early, then rain all day.

The Lesser Burdock didn't appear on the hedgerow this year, but there are three specimens at the edge of woodland about 400m away.

This Coprinus (lagopides, I think) has shed all its spores and is now in its final stages. I took this photo before it rained, and on my return 5 minutes later it was broken and flattened by the wind and rain.

 Beauty can be very transient.

Half of this old Crack Willow was just a massive stump. It was covered in dozens of these Kuehneromyces mutabilis. The largest specimen was 6 cm across.
