At first I thought this was a beetle, but on closer examination, it appears to be one of the Cicads, like a Frog-hopper or Leaf-Hopper. Poor light prevented a proper shot. Evacanthus interruptus.
This red larva has caused me headaches. I spent two hours looking through moth pictures with no success. It now looks to be the Lime-speck Pug.
At least this one's in focus. Wood Sorrel on Polytrichum moss, with one or two fallen leaves from the Birch.
