More fungi from the hedgerow.
Overcast but dry. |
Armillaria have undergone some serious reclassifications, recently. But I'm sticking with Armillaria mellea - the Honey Fungus - for this (large) batch on buried dead wood. Individual caps up to 8 cm. across.
|
A Cortinarius spp. At first I thought 'Wood Blewit', but the spores are strangely pointed and brown. Cap about 6 cm. across, under Beech. A definite lilac tinge to the whole specimen.
|
A very delicate and fragile bracket - Stereum hirsutum - on a dead branch. Specimens about 5 cm. across.
