21st October |
Today shows the remaining pictures from the weekend's fungal foray to the west coast.
Tomorrow I'll get back to some local images.
Bright but cold. |
These pale brown hair-like fungi were about 8 to 10 cm. tall, growing on fallen Alder leaves. Typhula phacorrhiza. |
This lilac and cream mushroom is Inocybe geophylla var lilacina.
About 4 cm. across the cap. Poisonous. |
Two lichens from Glenveagh. Pannaria rubiginosa on the left and Peltigera
membranacea (sometimes called rabbits-paw lichen) on the right.
|
And a final two images from Ards forest:
An unidentified bright orange Slime Mould on the left and the fruit bodies of the Lobaria pulmonaria lichen.
