A bit of an insect day on the original hedgerow.

 

 

 

Bright but cool.

 

This little Moth Fly was slowly wandering over the surface of a Nettle leaf.

I haven't seen any Ichneumons for weeks. Today I saw at least 4. The scarlet specimen on the left was running very quickly over the fern fronds with its wings constantly buzzing, but the one on the right was prepared to pose for a decent shot.

    

 

This is one of the Crane Flies. Specimen approximately 2 cm. long.
