Path through high coniferous forestry.

Bright sunshine.

The Red Bartsia (left) is a semi-parasitic plant that feeds off the roots of other plants. The Common Centaury (right) is a bit later in flowering locally this year, but is now enjoying the sunshine.

This little (4 cm. tall) Waxcap was showing well in the sunlight. Hygrocybe conica.

There were many of these Common Darter Dragonflies around today. Male on the left and female on the right.

The shaded part of the forestry edge was still damp with dew. It shows just how many spiders webs there are.

The seedhead of the Autumn Hawkbit is very like a Dandelion head, but is more angular and generally less white. About 2 cm across.
