2nd December

A visit to mixed forestry.

Freezing fog early and late, with bright spells in the middle of the day.

Two shots of Mycena epipterygia. Cap diameters 10mm and 15 mm respectively.

One or two specimens of Common Ragwort are still flowering from side shoots. The tops are long dead, as can be seen from the right-hand habit shot.

I continue to find signs that some plants have been confused by the recent mild weather. These Willow buds are bursting even after frost.

The Tutsan berries are remarkably fresh-looking in their red and yellow 'collars'. This plant is very attractive in all its parts.
