10th December

Next>

A visit to the highest local point, which is usually behind the lower areas in terms of wildlife, presumably because it's colder and more exposed. This is an odd year.

Bright early, rain later.

I'd always expect to see some left-over Bramble buds at this time of year, and maybe one or two flowers.

But new season's growth on new suckers was a bit of a surprise.

More Willow leaf buds on the way to opening.

This is one of my happiest photographs of the year. 10th December and a swarm of midges flying overhead. I said I was going to look up from time to time.
