Town centre.

Very strange weather. Clear blue skies with sudden downpours of hail.

The Cock's-foot grass has been dried and broken down for some time. This fresh specimen was a pleasant find.

This White Stonecrop stays in leaf all winter on walls and rough ground.

This moss - Homalothecium sericeum - is readily recognisable by the paler, pointed growth points.

This moss has capsules that are about 2 cm. above the ground. It grows where I previously saw Funaria hygrometrica. This might be the mature form. I'll mark some specimens and check them in February, when the new growth starts.
