Local rookery.
Bright early, then dull.
The rookery behind my house has been deserted for weeks, but this week the Rooks began to show an interest again, and many displays of courtship aerobatics were seen. This morning, I spotted a few couples in their nests, including the mating pair on the right.
Incubation is 18 days or so. That would indicate a mid-January brood.
