Lichens from my windowsill.
These lichens will be at most 5 years old.
Bright but cold. |
Two crustose lichens about 6 mm across. The fruiting bodies are green and brown, respectively. It is clear that these lichens produce fruit bodies very early in their development. The green, leafy specimens are Xanthoria parietina.
Left specimen is uncertain, perhaps Caloplaca crenulatella, Candelariella aurella or Caloplaca holocarpa. |
Another shot, this time showing grey/blue Lecanora sp. near the top. |
The blue/grey specimen is Physcia adscendens - about 1 cm across. Again, the green specimens are Xanthoria parietina. |
