Approach to Beltony stone circle.

Dull but dry.

The round leaves of Navelwort always seem to be very clean and free from blemishes, but I noticed that one cluster of specimens was affected by a fungal attack - it's Puccinia umbilici, a rust.

I found a single specimen of Shepherd's Purse growing at the edge of the path. The lower flowers have set seed and the distinctive seed-pods can be seen taking shape to the lower right.
