A quick visit to River Deele.

 

Wet and stormy.

 

The large leaf in the cente of the picture is Wild Garlic - Allium ursinum. There's also Ground Elder, Ivy, Bluebell and a Speedwell to be seen.

These are the ripe fruits of the Ivy - Hedera helix.

 

This Moss is abundant on walls near water. It forms dense, pale cushions. Sample shown is about 5 cm. across. The capsule-bearing spikes to the top of the picture belong to Tortula muralis.
