I've been looking for some fertile fronds of the Hard Fern. I found a few survivors at the edge of the wood. The fertile fronds are the brown ones in the centre of the picture. Notice that they are more erect than the outer, green, sterile leaves.
A few Rhododendron buds have made an appearance. There should be quite a show, soon.
