23rd May

A quick Hedgerow walk with the dogs.

1 x Green-veined White; 1 x Orange Tip, male; 1 x Orange Tip, female.

Continuous showers with some respite at the end of the day.

This is the first opening specimen of Yorkshire Fog - Holcus lanatus - that I've seen this year.

The flowers of the Raspberry- Rubus idaeus - are just forming.

I notice that the books don't make reference to the yellow-fruited ones. I'll need to look into that;  there is one specimen with yellow berries on the Hedgerow.
