Original Hedgerow.

 

Dull with some drizzle.

 

This is what happens to a Dock leaf when the Dock Leaf Beetle really gets going. I suppose it's important that the Docks have perennial roots, otherwise they would die off.

Hedge Woundwort - Stachys sylvatica - has been out for a day or two...the bottom flowers have already dropped.

     

 

A rare shot of a honey-bee. This time on Herb Robert.

This looks like another of the Thick-headed flies. Compare with the previous picture on June 12.

 

A sneak picture of the Speckled Wood..a very fresh specimen...maybe 2nd brood?
