The First part of the Home Economics examination is the Project which is given to the students on the 1st November of their final Junior Certificate Year and must be completed by the following March 1st. This element of the examination encourages the students to think for themselves and develop their ability to design a project to a given brief. 15% of the marks are allocated to this part of the examination and the student must produce the given project along with a design folder outlining their analysis, investigation of solutions, design and production of product, process and evaluation. |
