Inchicore Athletic 73/74
Playing under the name Inchicore we have never played out of
Inchicore. Some of our home grounds include, Bluebell road,
Bridget Burkes in Tallaght, Walkinstown Park and the Brickfields in
Drimnagh. During the 70s' we won league titles and promotion along
the way with a Leinster Junior Cup thrown in for good measure.

Founded in 1972 Inchicore has never looked back winning almost
everything there is to win. Since those early days Inchicore has
played AUL football culminating last season with our first appearance in
Premier A. .

These titles where well deserved and are still
cherished but our greatest achievement to date came in the 77/78
season. With a team of home grown talentInchicore defeated a very
strong Cherry Orchard side in a tightly fought contest at Tolka
Park. The success dried up for a while with just the one league
success in the 80s' to celebrate. However the team did organise
numerous 5-A-Side tournaments in the green just off Ring Street.
These games gave rise to players such as Des Leonard, Barry Greene and
Keith Marshall, three of the most influential players who helped bring
the glory back to inchicore.
