The Current Team...



Andrea Mulligan
Andrea is a Fifth Year student in Loreto College, St. Stephen's Green, Dublin. She has been debating since Junior Cycle, and recently won the U.C.D. L&H Schools' Mace Competition. This success was followed up when she also won the National Schools' Mace Competition in its Inaugural year. Andrea was also Best Speaker at that tournament.

David Kenny
Unfortunately, though David was selected for the Team, he was unable to travel to Stuttgart. He was a member of the team who travelled to Lima for the 2003 Championships and is therefore a former WSDC Quarter-Finalist. He is a former winner of the University College Dublin Schools' Mace, and has already participated in varsity-level competitions. He is currently studying for his Leaving Certificate in Catholic University School, Dublin.

Josephine Curry
Josephine is also a Leaving Certificate student, from St. Louis', Monaghan. She is this year's Captain. Last year she won the All-Ireland stage of the E.S.B. Debating Competition. Following victory in the Inaugural T.C.D. Schools' Mace, where she was also the Best Speaker,Josephine reached the Final of the National Schools' Mace earlier this year.

Ross Frennett
Ross is in Fifth Year in Christian Brothers' College, Cork. He was Runner-Up in the E.S.B. Debating Competition at Munster level last year. He was a member of the Best Team on the tab at the Inaugural T.C.D. Schools' Mace. Ross won the C.U.S. Invitational Schools' Mace in 2003, and was a Finalist in both the Munster and National Schools' Maces this year.

Sarah Swaine
Sarah is also in Fifth Year, in Loreto College, St. Stephen's Green, and is at this stage a veteran school debater at schools' level! She had her most recent debating victory in the Inaugural National Schools' Mace, which she won following success in the University College Dublin Schools' Mace Competition earlier in the year.
