David Bucklow is from Cape Town, South Africa.
After having worked for a ostrich leather company as a production manager for nine years he gave up his job to fullfil his passion to paint.

David works with acrylic on canvas and his works are large, striking and lifelike. While painting predominantly the Big Five he also paints other African animals, seascapes and portraits. His paintings move quickly out of the galleries and he paints to order to keep up with demand. “My favourite subject is the leopard but I have a lot of requests for the Cheetah which seems to be most popular and I have also donated paintings to the Cango Wildlife Ranch to help with fundraising for Cheetah Conservation” says David.

David’s paintings can be found in galleries around South Africa including the Cango Wildlife Ranch in Ousthoorn; Pay Bird Gallery, The Cape Gallery, The Sembach Gallery, Clock Tower, Heather Auer Gallery in Cape Town; Gallery on the Side, The Little Gallery in Gauteng; The Window in Mpumalanga and The October Gallery in London.
