Add a time stamp to a page

(Last updated:____)

Add a time stamp to a page to display the time and/or date the page was last changed. For example, a time stamp lets site visitors know whether the information on your site has changed since their last visit.
  1. In Page view, position the insertion point where you want to place a time stamp.
  2. Choose Insert menu - Date and Time.
  3. Specify the type of time stamp to display.
  4. Specify a format for the date and for the time.
Thumbnail defined You can use FrontPage to create a thumbnail, which is a small version of a picture that a site visitor clicks in order to follow a hyperlink to the full-size picture.

A thumbnail is useful when you have a large picture that might take a long time to download, depending on the site visitor's system. Rather than forcing the site visitor to download a large picture, you can provide a thumbnail, allowing the visitor to choose whether to view the full-size version.

Set properties for creating thumbnails You can specify how you want Microsoft FrontPage to create thumbnails for pictures. You can set properties for the thumbnail size and borders.
  1. Choose Tools menu -Page Options - click the AutoThumbnail tab.
  2. In the Set box, click the option you want to use for specifying a size, then in the Pixels box, enter the value in pixels.

For example, if you want thumbnail pictures to be 75 pixels wide, click Width and then enter 75. The height of the thumbnail will be sized to maintain the proportions (aspect ratio) of the original picture. Or, if you select Shortest side and then enter 75, the shortest side of any thumbnail picture, whether height or width, will be 75 pixels.

  3. To specify a border, select Border thickness, and then in the Pixels box, enter a value for the thickness of the border in pixels.
  4. If you want the graphic to be beveled, select Beveled edge. If you have also specified a border thickness, the thumbnail will have a beveled edge inside of a border.
Create a thumbnail of a picture
  1. In Page view, click the picture.

FrontPage creates the thumbnail picture and a hyperlink to the original full-size picture.
