Steps

 

1.     Gather Material

Use Internet, Textbooks, Library, Interviews etc.

 

2.     Decide what is relevant

 

3.     Decide on main headings

 

Basic Structure

 

q       Introduction
(include aim)

q       Conclusion

 

In your report include:

 

1.     Title Page and the purpose of your Report

2.     Table of Contents

3.     Body

4.     Summary

(Recommendations, conclusions, future developments)

5.     Appendices (if appropriate)

6.     Bibliography (sources of information)

 

SWOT analysis  can be carried out on any organisation:  You consider its strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats it may face.

 

Information technology Assignment may be included as part of report.

(You must demonstrate an awareness of the impact of Information technology on public and personal life).

 

General ideas to keep in mind

 

Ø     Be aware of distinction between Facts and Opinions

Ø     Have own ideas (opinions) backed up by facts

Ø     Support statements with evidence

Ø    Do not be biased
