There is plenty in
Inistioge for the visitor. For those interested in crafts there is the Oak
Leaf Pottery which is run by Mary Prendergast and John Burris

At Forest Craft all types of woodturning, table
lamps, jewellery boxes, and clocks et al are turned out under the skilful
hands of George Wills. Tuition for beginners or improvers is provided (Tel.
00-353 - 56 - 58111).
There is fishing and canoeing on the river Nore,
forests walks through the Woodstock Estate or join the South Leinster Way
which runs from Graiguenamanagh to Inistioge on to Mullinavat, Piltown and
Carrick-on Suir linking up with the South Munster Way.
For the golfing enthusiast, Inistioge is ideally
located between Kilkenny and New Ross. There are six golf courses within
30 minutes of the village with the famous Mount Juliet only 10 km away.
Hospitality and fine food are guaranteed in
Inistioge. There is ample quality accommodation in the many Bed &
Breakfasts and luxury farmhouses, and the village pubs and restaurants
serve the best of local produce.
Many local events take place throughout the year
and two worth mentioning are the Vintage Car Rally held in August and the
Motor Festival in April.
