round of golf in Mount Juliet or just driving along the N10 from
Kilkenny to Waterford, Why not take a few minutes to visit this
beautiful 18th Century Pub. Who knows you just might spend a
few hours there and end up singing a few songs in the TAP ROOM with the
local Blacksmith.
O'Grady's Pub is now owned by
Charlie Mallard and his wife Mary. Charlie is the fifth generation of
the family to own these premises and his son Fred will shortly take over
the reigns and extent the family's proud tradition in the trade well
into the 21st Century.
Anytime you visit this old pub you
are bound to meet a local personality who will tell you of the good old
days and stories of yesteryear. O'Grady's is renowned for its wealth of
musicians and singers and in recent years has won the Kilkenny Singing
Pubs competition. On a National Level the pub has being represented by
local entertainer Mr Neddy Lawlor of Television fame.
The pub is open seven days a week
from 10.30 am until 11.30 p.m.
Entertainment is provided on
weekend nights and Pub Grub is available at all times. Holiday Homes are
