We are taking part in a Green Schools Programme. Our goal is to develop good habits in the management of Litter and Waste. 

On Tuesday the 16th of May 2006, Kilkenny NS was awarded the Green Schools Flag.

Each month we had different goals. For example, one  goal was to reduce litter in our school. Parents helped by reducing litter in their child's lunchbox. The students had ideas on how this could be done.

We also collect used batteries and ink cartridges for recycling at the school.
