Active Retirement Group
Anybody who wishes to join in the outing on Wednesday next to Blarney and Griffin's Garden Centre, Dripsey, and who has not already booked a place should ring Annette at 26659 as soon as possible. The bus will leave Killavullen at 10.30am and anyone of retirement age will be very welcome.
An evening to see Paddy Comerford at The Everyman Theatre, Cork is planned for Thursday, May 21st and a deposit of €20 must be paid at the next get-together which is taking place on Friday week, April 24th in The Hall from 10-11am, or if unable to attend please give the deposit to a member who will be there.
The AOSTA Mini-Jamboree is being held at The Hazel Tree Inn on Thursday May 14th. Tickets are €10 and must be purchased before the end of this month.


Library
The Cork County Council's mobile van will visit Killavullen Village on this Friday at 11am.

Knock Pilgrimage
The annual Cloyne Diocesan Pilgrimage will be held on Sunday, May10th. A bus will travel from Killavullen and seats may be booked with Mrs. Hanley at 022-24236.

Prayer Evening
On Friday week, April 24th the usual evening of Mass, Adoration, Rosary and Prayer will be held at The Nano Nagle Centre, Ballygriffin, Killavullen commencing at 7.30pm. Everyone welcome.

Two day Workshop in Stone Wall Building
Led by Philip Quinn, experienced stone-mason and trainer, this Saturday and Sunday at The Nano Nagle Centre 10am-4.30pm, cost €150 including lunch, tea/coffee.
Also at The Centre: 2day introduction to organic growing led by Jason Horner on Sat & Sun April 25 & 26th 10am-5pm; basket-making workshop led by Katrin Schwart Sat May 2nd 10am-5pm; garden birds, their songs folklore and how to attract them led by Tom Gallagher Sat May 9th 1.30-4.30pm; organic egg production led by Jason Horner Sat May 23rd 10am-4.30pm.

On 7/4/09 the draw in their weekly local lottery took place in Magner's Bar and the numbers drawn were 1, 25 & 33. The "jack-pot" of €3200 was not won and the winners of the "lucky-dip" prizes were John O'Donovan, Shonee, seller J. Angland, Bill O'Neill, Castletownroche, seller J. Angland and Pat O'Donovan and family, Shonee, seller The Top Shop.
