South West Donegal is also home to many fine Golf courses including Portnoo and Murvagh both within a 30 minute drive from Portnacross. Other scenic hotspots include St Johns Point , a peninsula reaching out deep into the Donegal bay and the Caves of Maghery in the town of Ardara.

Glencolmcille folk village is another popular attraction bringing us back to sample life in the famine times portrayed in a restored village of the time. O' Donnell Castle in Donegal town is another historic landmark popular with many visitors and historians.

Killybegs itself is known primarily for its fishing fleet and most visitors take a keen interest in the boats that can be seen landing their catch at any time of year.
