Kilkenny Archival Project.

Earlier this year we were invited to take part in a project along with the other primary schools in the city. The idea behind the project was to use modern Information Technology to encourage children to learn more about their local history.

 

This project was funded by Kilkenny Information Age Limited (KIAL) and the National Centre for Technology in Education (NCTE).

The school was given a computer, a digital camera and a scanner.

The teachers were given training in the use of the equipment by Fiona Phelan, IT co-ordinator with NCTE.
