....Following our successful weekend with the Royal Naval Association at the the RNA Annual Conference and Gala Dinner on Saturday followed by the lovely parade and Drumhead Service on the Sea front at Folkestone, the RNA have invited us to parade with them and lay a wreath at the Cenotaph in London on the 6th Sept. We have gladly accepted their invitation and will be there in good numbers as in previous years. See detail lower right

The President and members of the Irish Naval Association congratulates Rear Admiral Mark Mellett on his appointment as Chief of Staff of the Irish Defence Forces.

Rear Admiral Mellett takes up his appointment in September and is the first Rear Admiral in the history of the Irish Naval Service and now the first Irish Naval Officer to be appointed as Chief of Staff of the Irish Defence Forces
