book the mysterious person is a woman. She is called Mabel Snook. It all started
one morning when Dad Spark fell down the stairs because Boozle was sleeping at
the top of the stairs. Dad said he would get rid of Boozle. There was a story on the
TV
news that there was a dangerous dog on the
loose. It fitted the description of Boozle. The Spark family had to hide
Boozle. First they took Boozle to Granny Brick’s kennels but he escaped from
the kennels. Granny Brick rang the Sparks to say that Boozle escaped. The
Spark family was worried that the police would catch him and put him to sleep.
Granny Spark found Boozle in the tumble dryer. He was safe. Susie had to take
Boozle for a walk. She took him out in a pram; a woman came over and claimed
that the dog bit her. She came to the Sparks house and said she was going
to tell the police. Sally saw something wrong with her hand - the blood was fake.
It was ketchup. Mabel Snook was stuck in the cabbage club and was
cheating. She said that she had a new breed of flower. All she did was a
con. Name: Stranger DangerAuthor: Anne Fine Main
