The Lough Neagh Monster by Sam McBratneyMain characters: Noblett & Nessie The Lough Neagh monster,
Noblett, is peaceful and quiet and he has a secret garden.
Noblett's cousin Nessie from Lough Ness is a trouble maker and
loves fun. One day Nessie decided to visit Noblett. The last time
Nessie visited Noblett was 100 years ago. When Nessie gets there Noblett
is not pleased. Nessie has a problem. He thinks humans are going to put
him in an underwater zoo. Nessie ate a house in Donegal and she likes head butting
boats with old people in them. For one day Nessie agreed to
do what Noblett wants to do. Noblett took Nessie to his secret garden.
At
first Nessie thought it was weird but then she had an idea. Nessie went
to the school and took a bicycle shed. She took it back to the garden
and put it in the garden. She said 'it can be a tunnel for fish'.
Noblett got mad then and they had a fight. Then Nessie got the shed
and took it back to the school. On his way back he saw a group of
children and a teacher. They caught her in a trap, but she got out.
Only there was a yellow monster which was only a digger. The
teacher got' into it and started to fight Nessie. Nessie thought it was a
monster to take him to the underwater zoo. Just when she thought she was
doomed, his cousin Noblett scared off the monster and they went back to the
lake. Next day Nessie went home and Noblett lived in peace and
quiet again.
