St. Nicks Gaelic Football Club is located in the Blackpool area of Cork City in Ireland. The club has been an integral part of the Blackpool Community throughout its existence and its influence has shaped the lives of many young men and boys from the area and beyond.

Latest News - Thursday 17th March 2005

  • Brief league review: In the SFL we have won two out of our three games and Youghal are our next opponents on the w/e April 3rd / 4th. In the JFL the 'A' team have won four out of the five games played, the hurling league starts this weekend, while the 'B' picked up their first points on Sunday last.
  • Update: The under-age page has been updated this week with all the lates news and pictures of the U15 St. Nicks Team who won the 2004 Football League!
  • Congratulations to Donal Og O'Donovan, David Cunningham, Peter Cuthbert and John Kearney who were involved with the U21 Cork team who beat Kerry last Saturday at Pairc Ui Rinn.

  • Best wishes to Liam Cashman who takes over as Under-Age Chairman, also to Senior hurling captain Tadgh Murphy, while Denise Cronin will captain the Senior Camogie team.
  • KS and Munster Club League News:

    This competition will have a new format for 2005 and promotion and relegation will be in operation for 2006. Two groups of ten, with the top five in each forming Division 1 for 2006, the bottom five will comprise Division 2. The teams in our section are; Mallow, Doheny's, O'Donovan Rossa, Bishopstown, Youghal, Naomh Aban, St Michael's, Na Piarsaigh, Ballincollig.

    The senior team will also compete in the Munster Club League, and the teams in our group are; Douglas, Eire Og (Ennis), Kilcummin (Kerry), and Cahir (Tipperary). The KS gets underway on the w/e of 26th/27th February, with the opening two rounds of the Munster League to be played on the 12th/13th and 19th/20th.
