I stopped at Pauleen's Sept 25-27, 2001 and I was very pleased. Pauline met my
taxi at the door and, after showing me my room, immediately invited me for tea and
biscuits. Having just completed a TransAtlantic crossing, what I really wanted was
a couple of hours sleep. The accomodation was excellent; breakfasts were great! And they even prepared an early breakfast (7:00 AM) so I could catch the 8:25 bus to Ennis on my day of departure. I would recommend Fitzgerald's B&B to anyone visiting west Clare and the Spanish Point / Lahinch area in particular. Ed Madigan, Philadelphia |
I stayed with Pauline during the Willie Clancy Summer
School Week in July of 2000. My accommodation was excellent.
I shared a room with a fellow from New York. I felt very welcomed.
The Fitzgerald Family are great hosts. The sleeping arrangements
and the breakfasts were fantastic. The best thing about staying
with Pauline was that I could be a part of the family for my visit.
Everyone is most enjoyable. Never once did I feel that I did
not belong. Pauline has put a lot of work into her new B&B,
and it shows. I would recommend it to anyone from the States who
would be travelling through West Clare. Thanks Pauline for all your
efforts. Fantastic website! Brendan Houlihan Palos Heights, IL; USA |
I was in Ireland with two friends Tom Vaughan and his daughter
Kathleen Briscoe. Tom was born in miltown in 1925 and has not been back to
his birthplace since his late father died in 1984 he had lots of things to
do like visit his sister in Kilkee, to meet old friends and visit the grave
of his late father and mother and also went to see the old home place. When
we arrived in town we saw Mac Curitín B&B so we booked in with
Pauline. Pauline was most friendly and ever so helpful she helped us out on
what we should do and places to go. The accommodation was first class, the
rooms were ever so nice with everything you would want in them (home away
from home) . Thanks so much for making our holiday a memorial one. Tom wants to say that he was pleased that his home town is still the home of hospitailty and welcome. Thank you Brian Foster Nr Marlborough, Wilts |
I stayed at Pauleen & John Fitzgerald's Bed & Breakfasts during a family holiday in County Clare. Pauleen and John were most helpful, they recommended some wonderful historical sites for us to visit. Our room was wonderful and our breakfasts were delicious. The best thing about our holiday in Clare, was that we were treated like their family. Good luck in the future, the website is wonderful. Thanks very much for your hospitality, especially for your kindness in babysitting. The house was fabulous for the kids and the location perfect. Hope to see you next year.

Absolutly wonderful! The house was someplace to see people and have fun - not just a crash spot... thanks for the scones and tea.... You've made a place where all of your guests feel comfortable with you and each other. Thanks a million. Stephanie Skaff MN, USA |
Thanks for a lovely time and the very comfortable cottage we've enjoyed very much. Not a drop of rain for two weeks and blue skies all the way! Great accomodation, we could not fault it in any way. Misty - the dog - barked her thanks every day; she also had a good time. Miltown Malbay is a very friendly place and certainly echoed your own hospitality and kindness. Thanks. We had a fabulous time - lots to see and do. The most beautiful scenery, almost as good as Cork! House is fabulous, had everything we needed and is very well located. The weather could have been better but we're going home rested, refreshed and very happy. Thank you all. Stack family Newmarket, Co. Cork |
