Some french thing, one of 2 which were following a Yacht race, the other one looked more like a luxury yacht itself than a Military vessel,so I wont include it here..unless I am asked..

I am told it is called "La Moqeuse"

I think this was the first visit of a Finnish Naval vessel to Ireland,or Cork.Does anyone Know what the Door/ramp at the stern would be for?

This one is a Falklands Veteran, though I am not sure which. It is either HMS Herald,Helca or Hydra, and is seen in Cork Dockyard being converted for its new owner.

USS Cape StGeorge(CG-71)

Worth noting on this ship the following.Pic 1 had NS and Garda Ribs carrying out security in the area around the ship, post USS Cole and Sept 11.Also in pic 4 the crewman on deck carrying either an M14 or M1.In pic 6 the CIWS had the canvas covers that usually cover the Barrels off.It still came nowhere close to the security on Mount Whitney.Locals were very put out by the restriction of their right of way, fishing etc. This was probably the main reason why later in the summer 2 US auxiliaries,USNS 1stLt Harry L.Martin and SS PFC Eugene A.Obregon decided against making a visit to Cork.
