Our School Tour.

ON THURSDAY THE 13TH OF JUNE EVERYBODY FROM 2ND TO 6TH CLASS HAD A VERY EXCITING DAY AHEAD OF THEM WE WERE OF ON OUR SCHOOL TOUR. WE WERE GOING TO THE COCA COLA FACTORY. WE WERE ALL VERY EXCITED ABOUT GOING TO THE COCA COLA FACTORY.

WHEN WE GOT OFF THE BUS WE WALKED INTO A COCA COLA CLASSROOM, WHEN WE WERE SEATED, A MAN NAMED TOM INTRODUCED HIMSELF AND HIS EMPLOYEE MICHEAL. THEY WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND VERY NICE. DURING THE FEW HOURS WE WERE THERE, WE ALL LEARNED A LOT, WELL I LEARNED A LOT. WE LEARNED ABOUT THE FIRST MACHINE THAT PUT LIDS ON BOTTLES. HIS NAME WAS DIXIE. HE COULD PUT 30 LIDS ON IN ONE MINUTE. THAT MACHINE CAME OUT IN 1954. THE NEW MACHINE HASN’T GOT A NAME. THE NEW MACHINE CAN PUT 1200 LIDS ON IN ONE MINUTE.

TOM AND MICHEAL MADE US WEAR THESE SILLY RED HATS SO THAT WHEN WE WENT INTO THE FACTORY NONE OF OUR HAIR WOULD DROP INTO BOTTLES AND WHEN THEY WENT TO THE SHOP AND SOMEBODY OPENS A BOTTLE AND FINDS A HAIR IN IT. THAT’S WHY WE HAD TO WEAR THE RED HATS.TOM AND MICHAEL BROUGHT US INTO THE FACTORY THEY TOLD US ALL ABOUT THE HARD SHOULDER THAT IF THERE IS TO LITTLE IN A BOTTLE OR TO MUCH IT GETS PUSHED ONTO THE HARD SHOULDE

TOM TOLD US THERE WERE COCA COLA CHAMPIONS AND THEY WERE THE BOYS  IN CASTLECOMER BOYS SCHOOL WITH 55 POINTS AND THE PRESENTATION GIRL'S SCHOOL WERE NOW 56 POINTS . WE ARE THE COCA COLA CHAMPIONS UNTIL SOME OTHER SCHOOL GETS 57 POINTS.      BY ASHLEIGH CAHILL
