students settle into their new home at the
Massachusetts Academy. Jubilee, Synch and Banshee
act as welcome committee to the British mutant
Jonothan Starsmore when he arrives in the US.
Emplate attacks, hoping to feed on Jono's bone
marrow but eventually flees when Gateway
teleports the remaining members of the team to
the scene of the fight. That night Gateway
appears once more at the Academy bringing with
him a young mutant girl, a former captive of
Emplate, and utters one word...'penance'. Comments: Very
enjoyable issue. Bachalo draws realistic
teenagers instead of miniature adults and a very
clear idea is given of the personality of each
character.
