Occupational Therapy:

With an ongoing partnership with the Mid-Western Health board Rathfredagh Cheshire Home have developed a community physiotherapy service. This enables Many people who otherwise may not have been able to utilise the facility, to take advantage of such a department at Rathfredagh.

With continued finacial support from various areas such as MWHB and JP. McManus sponsorship and the help of the FAS community Employment Scheme we have been assured of the ongoing maintenance and development of the grounds. It has also ensured the construction of our Physiotherapy room which is used regularly by residents and trained staff.

There are a total of 15 people working on the FAS Employment Scheme ,all of whom have helped work in various different project since there begin in 1994. There biggest project to date has been in the development of our 'Customised Independent Living Apartments in 1995. Funding was also received for this from the Dept. Of The Environment, MWHB and JP. McManus Sponsorship.
