My family connections are with Gurteenahur West which is outside
Drimoleague in West Cork.
Having used GenoPro in Windows which I liked very much and Family Tree
which I could not say I liked so much I have been delighted to find
GRAMPS available in PCLinusOS which has been able to import the files I
was using under Windows without any problems at all.
I haven't yet had time to investigate all that can be done with GRAMPS
but first impressions are very good indeed.
My aim is to put my immediate family on line and I have a made a fair
bit of progess here. I currently have a big .gno file waiing to be
edited more accurately. I would hope to encourage others to get
involved in filling out the details but for now the project has stalled
somewhat. Hopefully this page will be the link through to this project
when it gets up and running again. Using the word 'immediate' here is
perhaps optimistic, in Kingston terms 'immediate' is still a lot of
ancestors.
