J-1 VISA
This is the much
sought-after visa for those wishing to spend their summer
months off college in the States. The places are strictly
limited, however, so you have to be quick. With our help,
you can make all the right preparations beforehand and we
tell you how to plan the trip when you do get the visa.

Applying for the visa
|
First
things first; the J-1 is open to all students meeting the
following criteria:
- studying
for a degree or higher national diploma in an academic
field (must be a minimum of 2 years duration, with the
exception of post-graduate courses)
- registered
and attending as a full-time day student at a
university or equivalent third level educational
establishment for the 2000- 2001 academic year. (NB:
Part-time, repeat and exam only students are not
eligible for the programme)
- 18
years of age before 01 June 2001
