Home History Staff Academic Auditions Contacts

St. Finian's College has a reputation as a school of academic excellence and its students excel in the Junior and Leaving Certificate Examinations. The academic programme is supported by excellent facilities including modern classrooms, a language laboratory and two fully equipped science laboratories.

Close contact is maintained with parents with four reports being issued in each academic year. In addition to the annual parent-teacher meeting, the Parents' Council maintains a close link with the College authorities. Parents are always welcome to contact any member of staff with queries which they may have.

A career guidance counsellor provides professional help to all students, in particular to senior pupils who are at the stage of making their future career decisions. Each September the College organizes a career seminar which makes students more aware of the range of options available to them today. Arrangements are also made for senior students to attend open days held by the various third-level institutions.

Supervised study facilities are provided for all students.

A wide range of subject options is available to students. For further information please refer to the College Prospectus or the College Website.
